Job Summary
Kforce's Sustainable Energy Client is seeking an Electrical Designer to join their Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) team in Sparks, NV. This role is central to creating a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries by transforming recycled materials into battery materials for new production. Responsibilities include working independently and collaboratively on design and technical solutions, assisting in project development, and producing construction drawings using Revit for Instrumentation and Controls, low voltage power distribution, and lighting.
Must Have
- Work independently and collaboratively on design and technical solutions
- Assist in developing solutions for projects in all phases
- Perform I&C assignments with general direction and minimal supervision
- Assist in production of construction drawings for Instrumentation and Controls discipline using Revit
- Assist in production of construction drawings for low voltage (up to 600V) power distribution, one-line diagrams lighting, lighting control, electrical circuits, raceway, grounding, data and communications
- Assist in performing photometric studies using lighting design software
- Drive multi-discipline collaboration on the development of equipment general arrangements, one-line diagrams, tie-in lists and material takeoffs
- Develop process improvements/workflows/templates to increase design productivity
- Assist in code analysis of NEC, IECC, and other applicable NFPA standards
- Learn, advance, and increase quality through construction observation/administration
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience
- Working knowledge of SKM or equivalent tool
- Working knowledge of UL508A standard for the design and construction of industrial control panels
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office

These roles are at the center of our activities focused on creating a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries by transforming recycled materials into battery materials for new lithium-ion battery production. Responsibilities:
- Work independently as well as collaboratively with others toward design and technical solutions
- Assist in developing solutions for projects in all phases; Perform I&C assignments with general direction and minimal supervision

Using Revit, assist in the production of construction drawings for Instrumentation and Controls discipline including but not limited to:
- Plan drawings showing locations of instruments, and control panels
- Raceway drawings to show conduit and cable tray sizing and routing
- Assist in production of construction drawings for low voltage (up to 600V) power distribution, one-line diagrams lighting, lighting control, electrical circuits, raceway, grounding, data and communications
- Assist in performing photometric studies using lighting design software
- Drives multi-discipline collaboration on the development of equipment general arrangements, one-line diagrams, tie-in lists and material takeoffs

Requirements

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
